Denso Wiper Blade -- Finally, a match! NAPA

Hey Everyone,

I have been marooned in my driveway because my windshield wiper blades/rubber went south during winter storage. I have been chasing replacement blades or refills for about 3 weeks now, awaiting new Denso blades from ASE Supply in Oregon (800-289-2737), a Nippon Denso parts supplier. (BTW, I am in OHIO). They were able to send me refills promptly, but the blades were on back order until mid June. I found that the refills did not fit my current blades (which I had fitted refills to a few years back, so this was interesting, I suspect the blades had been replaced by PO). Quandry, after trying every blade available at most local outlets, I finally go to NAPA, and they find me a 22" Heavy Duty application wiper to try for a fit. WOW, it was a perfect fit for the DENSO arm, and, came with a new shoulder bolt, washer and nylock nut!!!! It also had a thin plastic shim, which was option use, but was needed for my arms, perfect tight, but flexible fit!

The NAPA part number is NAPA 6-2256

Nice feeling when something goes right for a change! Hope this may help someone else out there!:thumb:

I got a deal on NAPA wiper blades at rockauto.com. They were having a closeout sale and I bought 4 for something near $7.50 ea.
I learned of the closeout sale when an irv2 member shared the information.

Great and useful information but I get kind of ticked off when RV manufacturers seemed to feel like you have nothing better to do than chase esoteric parts that nobody has. I think I'd have replaced the entire wiper arm with something less exptic.

Well, the whole system is Nippon Denso, they are used on many RV's plus truck applications. I think it may be a difficult task to undergo a "system" change. Your rig probably has the Denso wiper system with similar blades like what I bought.

From my experience trying to repair the system I'm sure that it does. The delay module was Ford as is the multi-purpose switch neither of them F 53 by the way, but the motor is Denso and I would imagine the wipers are too. When I need to change them or if I get a bug to do so beforehand, I will certainly try to make them something more mundane.

I keep my wipers covered with a pc of tubing insulation. Cut a slit down the length and slide them on. Protects from sun damage and no use.

Thank You Richard S, I found a dealer in Portland Or. I could use new arms and blades, looks like they may have them available, will call on Monday AM

Ordered 2 wiper blades from www.asesupply.com they arrived in 2 days and came with the small shoulder bolt, washer and nut. Wipers were reasonable but Shipping was expensive. The company website takes You to the page with the parts breakdown with part numbers of all the coaches that have the Nippon Denso wiper system. Mine was page 47. Thanks again Richard!!

You can also get blade assemblies from Trico and Napa. The Napa blades are made by Trico
