Step Problem

This has been a very trying trip! First the horn, then the wipers, now the steps. That is in addition to a colossal mistake made with the toad....details if desired.
I have checked all the fuses associated with the steps except the one that is supposed to be in the armrest on passenger side. Are there really fuses in there. and if so, how do you get to them? I can't see a way to get the cover off without destroying it. While searching for that, I noticed there was not a light for the step switch, so pulled the panel cover off and found a burned wire to the bay light switch. It's obvious that the connector you are holding must be replaced. If there is also damage to the switch assembly, that too may need to be replaced. Good luck.

Sorry to hear of the problems. It at times seems never ending. What was the "colossal mistake made with the toad"????

I got myself into too tight of a spot, had to unhook on a busy thoroughfare. In my hurry to make things rjght again, forgot to run the car through all the steps to make ready for towing and ended up dragging it about 40' with wheels locked. That is a lesson I hope to not have to learn again 🤣
