Bob, we have a 2004 36R that had the same problem plus the clear coat on the black doors was peeling. I sanded the mirrors with 400 grit and sanded the doors to get off the loose clear coat, feathering the edges. Gloss black spray paint from Walmart, took my time building up the coats, wet sanded, rubbing compound, ,polish. Iíll try to send after picture via pm. Just doing the mirrors should not be near the work. Just make sure you do a good job of taping off anything that you do not want spray paint on.

DGW is correct you can sand with a 400 grit or even higher if you find and I would try a polishing compound also before that with a whool and then a buff with a good wax before just on a small spot and see if the shine comes back if not then pain. I would try polishing compound and wax before sometimes the shine returns. Then post your finished pictures.

Per Req: attached three Pic's refinishing MH driving mirrors. First lightly sanded (400 grit) then washed and dried mirror covers to remove sanding dust. Used Classic Coat, gloss black for vinyl paint #SEM 17093 spray paint purchased from automotive paint supply store. Lightly sprayed three coats to prevent running, ten minutes apart -requires 24 hours to fully dry. Mirror covers now look like new. Check early post for mirror prior condition.

I called RV Armor. Lifetime guarantee, even if I sell it!

1992 Fleetwood Pace Arrow 33' Chevrolet 454

Hello, I am a new owner of a 1992 Pace Arrow 33'. I am a first time RV owner.

The RV needs a new roof and a roof part that I am posting a picture of so if anyone can tell me where to get it I would really appreciate it. It is the roof to side wall molding and I need about 11' of it.

https://i63.tinypic.com/2luouc9.jpg

I also new a driver's side window (roll down part only) because before I bought the generator attached to the RV (Onan Marquis 7000 with only 133hrs and starts right up) the unit was broken into. BTW, the person that sold me the RV's generator threw in the RV for free!

Other than those issues, I got it started and it knocks pretty bad so it probably needs a rebuild (Chevrolet 454). I will address that once I get it water tight.

Lol, first engine I have worked on also. Go Grandma Powers!

Have you tried contacting any of the RV salvage yards? I would think that roof piece you could probably get. The window too should not be too much trouble for a salvage yard I would think.

Check with your local glass shop being a flat laminated glass it would be very simple to cut one.

Original glass is tempered glass.

My hat is off to you for the effort your putting into it.
