I would like to hear from all National Class A MH owners that have coaches from late 1990's to early 2000's.

I have a 2001 national Sea View 8310.

have been doing some upgrades and would like to compare notes

Good Morning, We have had our F53 Ford chassis 2000 Trop-i-cal for 6 years and and were just talking about how much we like our full time home. After seeing how much newer higher line class A gas motorhomes go for we probably wouldn't think twice about putting significant money into ours. Ours has 105000 miles and we have had some repairs on the various systems, however none that were beyond my ability to repair. Even the most expensive RV has equipment failures when subjected to earthquake conditions going down the road. You have a very nice looking unit, Good Luck

We love our National RV Tradewinds.
After a ton of research we decided that this was the exact make, model, and year we wanted. It had everything we wanted, and nothing we didn't want.
It took a few months of searching across the country from California to Georgia to find just the right one. And this is the on we found in Salt Lake City. We call her the M/C Kismet. I flew out from Austin, Texas to do an inspection and close the deal. Two weeks later we returned to pick her up, but instead of heading home, we took off from Utah to Wyoming, Colorado, and New Mexico before returning to Texas. That was in 2015. Almost four years later we're still happy as clams with our '99 Tradewinds. We've taken 58 trips, visited 37 Texas state parks and added three more states. Later this year the wife and I will both be retired and plan to up our game starting with a month long trip to northern California.

Great responses

Thanks for all the comments. We have owned Coachmen Class C's in the past and recently "upgraded" to this National. Have only taken it on a day trip to the Racetrack to watch my kids race. my wife and I are going to the Calif coast beginning of April for our first "real trip".

have been doing some up grades. Replaced the original (heavy) little TV in the front overhead with a flat screen.

Question? I replaced all lift shocks on outer storage doors, and notice there were no factory installed shocks on the storage doors under the slide. Are they all like this? I did install mounting brackets and shocks on these.

Replaced all the inside "Brass" colored handles with "satin nickel" ones.

Cant wait for the first overnight trip.

I meant "vintage" as to that era around 2001, not "Vintage , like OLD, but these things are close to 20 years old now that I think about it and I must be an antique
