Best mobile hot spot device?

What do my fellow rvers in the u.s. use for a mobile hotspot? My phone doesnít tether so Iím thinking of a device like Verizon Jetpack...any suggestions?

We use AT&T hub from OTR Mobile. $60/month unlimited. Works great when we are in AT&T coverage. We also use our Verizon Hot Spot on our iPhone.

ATT Mobley with their Car Connect plan, $20/month. Essentially unlimited. Works great!

+1 on OTR Mobile and they use AT&T towers. I have the Netgear Nighthawk 4G LTE which is recommended by Chris & Cherie of RVMobileInternet.com. OTR offers unlimited data with no throttling. They are only a couple of years old and I have been with them since April with no issues. Monthly with auto-renewal is currently $60.

We have always used ATT mobile hotspots. The ones from Unite seem better than the others. Sorry, I don't recall the name of the others. Like others have said, they work fine when you have cell signal. If you are in a place that your phones have no signal, the hotspot won't either.

I have a Verizon MyFi Jetpack. I could tether from my phone, but at rimes I need to be on a conference call and online for work.

I can rely on Verizon for work where I travel.

Also recommend checking that site as they review pretty much every option out there and actually test much of the equipment themselves.

Regarding the Mobley that some mention - it is no longer available. It was AT&T's connected car device. The newer ones tie more tightly to the OBDII port of the vehicle and almost exclusively require the ignition to be on.

Well we have the Mobley and connected car plan but if we didn't our AT&T PrePaid phone plan gives us each 16 Gb of high speed data that we can tether. 2 phones with autopay at $70 month total.
