Starting Advice: Not sure to tow or not to tow

Thanks ahead of time, I've received good advice here before!
My situation:
I'm retired, solo, have my 2014 Itasca 27 ft MH and I own a 2009 Wrangler Rubicon in decent not great shape.
I'm selling my place in a month or so and looking at towing the Jeep, but the local place that will set it up only installs break buddy brake systems, I was hoping to save some cash and use the ReadyBrake ready brute elite all in one towbar/braking system. Now I'm not sure if I should start out without a toad, head for Texas as my residency and decide what to do there. I guess spending a couple of months or so on the road without a toad is fine, right? Like maybe I'll just get a scooter or electric bike? Just looking to hear options as I begin this long anticipated journey!
Thank you for any suggestions

Any halfway competent mechanic can install the Readybrake system - is there some compelling reason to use that particular shop? Sounds like they aren't really interested in doing what the customer wants done.

Order from amazon, install yourself.

Download the installation instructions and take them to a few mechanics in your area asking if they would help install it. Bet you won't have to look far to find one that would do it. Then order it in, install it and start your trip with the Jeep in tow. Good Luck

The NSA Ready Brute Elite is a great system. IMO it's the best system available for a Wrangler and gas powered motorhome. Install is simple and it works fantastic.

If you had a coach with air brakes there are likely better systems than the NSA products but for us "gassers" the RBE or Hercules towbars work fantastic and install is simple.

I wouldn't do ANY traveling without a toad! Just too inconvenient for me!

I found a local truck accessories shop to install my baseplate, ReadyBrake braking system, breakaway system, and toad wiring! Total labor cost was about $650. :thumb::D
