RV 110V electric outlet problems
 

Has anyone else experienced these crappy self contained electric outlets with push on taps with the wires popping out? Is there a self contained outlet that has studs to attach wiring?

yep, they are pure junk but you have to live with it. Walls are too thin to wire like your house with a box and a receptical and a plate. Get some spars from a camping store and replace. They burn up and melt when they get hot. Electric connections cannot be exposed.

Thanks for confirming. With all the vibration these rigs go through I am surprised it didn’t pop out sooner.

Had that problem with two outlets that I had to locate. One being the outside gfi. Being careful I enlarged the openings and replaced each outlet with residential outlets installed in slim line boxes.no problems since the upgrade. .
