Air conditioner wonít turn on
Plugged into 30 amp Park I have electricity and air was running suddenly shut off. I have checked every breaker I am aware of air wonít come back on I can get fan to run but nothing when I turn to auto. 2006 National Dolphin RV switch for 2nd ac is in off position. 82 in coach turned down thermostat to 70 wonít come on. Appreciate any suggestions . I have only had this coach for a couple months so Iím not up to speed on everything yet.

Is the 30AMP shore-power breaker tripped? Do you have 117VAC at your AC plugs? Rook

I have power in the coach and no breakers tripped this is a basement ac so it’s hard wired in As best as I can tell. The fan motor runs in the on position so my assumption is there is power. I can here an audible click in the thermostat when I select AC. But nothing comes on.

I’m reading 113 volts in the coach.

On some AC units there can be one or even two breakers.....1) is for high current overload to the compressor due to low input voltage from shore-power, and 2) a low coolant pressure device that trips when the coolant gas pressure gets too low due to leakage. Either one can prevent the compressor from running. You have to remove the AC cover to get at them. Rook

Did you bump the Store/Use switch. On many units, the thermostat needs 12 volts to work.

I cut all power to the coach both 12 v and the current from the pedestal. In an attempt to reset the thermostat if that was the problem the thermostat screen went blank until 12 v was restored. So it definitely uses 12 v. When I restored all power still no ac . I feel that something has tripped on the ac perhaps due to a dip in the current from the pedestal . I just need to locate what I need to reset to restore power to the compressor. There is a removable panel I assume from the side door access to the unit. Can any one direct me beyond that to what I need to look for to reset? Thank you all for your help so far !!

I had a similar problem with my 05 Dolphin but the 1st stage compressor would not run, only the fan would run. If I flipped the 30/50amp switch to 50 amp, the ac would cool so I assumed something was wrong with the 1st stage compressor, most likely a start capacitor. Try switching to 50 amp and see if that helps. If your 1st stage compressor doesn't come on, you won't blow the 30 amp breaker at the pedestal. In my case it turned out that the control board had been replaced by the PO and had been wired wrong when installed. Switched 2 wires and all is well. Anyway, check the start capacitors on the 1st stage compressor.

I tried to flip the switch for the 2nd air conditioner still wouldn’t run. Won’t run on heat pump setting as well. I suspect this problem was brought on by low pedestal supplied current as it has been cooling fine but I have noticed watching my current meter. The current has dipped down when to many high demands on this end of park. If I see this I always have shut the air down till the current became more suitable.

Did you try adjusting your "set" temp to within 3 Degrees of your "actual" temp?

Tried that to I surrendered I have a repairmen coming out.
