Love the look of that UV. Design is way ahead of its time. Now the cars are aerodynamic, so RVs should be as well. Your plan to re-power with a Subaru engine and tranny has my respect. Must be a headache to noodle out the suspension plus engine/tranny and have it carry the weight of a small motorhome. If you have time, I'd love to see pictures of the progress.

Noticing the generater, what kind and wattage? Looks like my powerhouse 2100.

We're you near Venice or Magera? we backpacked through Italy a couple years ago and saw a similar bus in the campground across from the dock going to Alberoni.

If anyone knows much about these Class C's, I'd love to hear from you. I've got some original brochures, but most of the historical information I can find on Avion talks about the slide-ins and doesn't mention Class C's. I am loving the all-aluminum construction, that's for sure--it rattles less than the last RV I had and it's 17 years older than that one...

thats a 3500 watt power ease, still not enough to get the AC to run.

mudderguy 06-25-2013 06:45 PM

Thanks, the inside is just as clean.

Moonrover 06-25-2013 06:47 PM

EmmyJ ...

That interior looks like it has never been used. Amazing to find something that good.

L8asusul 06-25-2013 08:58 PM

EmmyJ, that is aluminum? would have guessed glass. looks similar to the Robinhood MH. Never would have expected the interior to be so nice based on exterior. Not putting it down, would take it in a minute, just surprised.

Thanks! It's definitely been used: the photos are kind to it. :) New carpet and upholstery are on the to-do list once the leaking hot water tank, discharged AC, broken furnace and inoperative genset are dealt with.

No offense taken! I bought it quick for an a very pleasing price, for exactly that reason. And yes, it's all aluminum, roof to rockers.

Yes, this one was in a campground near punta sabbioni (marina di Venezia).
