Is there such a thing as a 'getting acquainted' service?
Hey All! :wavey::wavey::wavey:

Just did an intro in the new members section, so I won't rehash too much of it here, but suffice to say, I'm the proud new owner of a 1988 Pace Arrow. My granddad took real decent care of it until he was unable to any longer.

I'm new to RV ownership, so I know almost nothing about what/how/when to do whatever to/with the ol' Arrow. I do know that I love it though.

I'm wondering if anyone offers any kind of a 'getting to know your motorhome' service? I'd happily pay someone for a couple hours of not blowing myself up with propane lessons. I see all kinds of leveling levers, interesting looking switches, and even a solar panel on the roof, but I have no guide for this particular coach to see me through getting up and running without ruining too much of my grandpa's hard work.

I've been pouring over the forums here for the last month or so, so I'm definitely getting some good info, but I was just curious if you all knew of any kind of service like what I'm talking about?

Thanks a heap!

Hello & welcome to iRV2. If you didn't get a run through from whom you purchased it, You Tube is your friend. Just search that site for anything you need step-by-step on how to use. If it's on an RV, someone's made a video about it.

The above should take you to your owners manual. The internet has a lot of good info.
Save the manual then make a list of appliances etc and get the manuals on them. I made a notebook with manuals off the internet, they really come in handy.
Check your chassis, engine etc. My 88 had a 454 chevy in it. It took us ( wife and 6 kids) all over the country and up into Canada.

Good luck and enjoy your Pace Arrow.

35-40 years later and still driving Fleetwood.
You can also contact Fleetwood or REV group now, and fill out a service registration form online. Then you can request mechanical drawings etc.

Check out the Escapees RV Club. They offer a RV Boot Camp for their members.

Thanks guys! I was able to download the manual a couple months back, so that helps quite a bit. I tend to be a hands-on learner, and I'm afraid it's one of those situations where one doesn't know what one doesn't know until someone shows them what they didn't know. I'm going to check out the Escapees club, and print the manual so I can make notes!

Thanks for the suggestions! :thumb:
