Ground Jacks leaking down
2012 DRV 5th Wheel
LCI Level Up System

Front ground (landing) jacks wouldn't hold the RV up or remain retracted. Pulled them out about 5 weeks ago and had the seals in the ram replaced. Worked great until yesterday. Was in the RV and heard a small pop and then the front of the RV went down quickly (jacks retracted).

Pressed the button to extend the jacks back to level. You could see the RV slowly going back down after releasing the button. No visible leaks. I doubt the internal hydraulic ram seals have failed but not sure. Possibly a valve?

Thank you for the help.

Normally when a jack is leaking down and there's no visible leak it's the solenoid valve on the pump manifold leaking by. It may have some debris keeping it open or the valve seat may be bad. Replacement is the usual fix.

Hi Lt Dan,

Is this the valve?

I'm not familiar with that system, but yes that looks like an electric solenoid valve. There appears to be a knob on it that may be to manually open the valve. You might check to see if it's tightly closed.
