Bathroom Window Falling Apart
The part of the bathroom window to which the metal piece containing the lock mechanism is attached, has separated from the glass pane. I tried securing it with RV Goo but that didn't hold. Has anyone else experienced this, and what would you recommend to secure the metal piece to the window.

How about rear mirror cement that is used to reglue the mirror in your car.

How about a glass shop, they will fix it for you cheap. They have a special glue/sealant they will use, and it won't trouble you again.

Gator 67, I believe our window did the same thing, but we only lost the ability to lock it. Because of the size of the window we never concerned ourselves about it.:o

Now that T.P. is no longer distributed aerially at ACA rallies, I know where to get an emergency roll. :whistling:

I have the same problem with the bedroom vanity window. It looks like glass mastic, but Home Depot didn't have anything like that. I might try an auto store next. It hasn't been a priority since I can reseat it and lock the window. However, I cannot open it without the glass slowly sliding out of the frame and dropping down. Since I don't want it to break, I've just left it locked (for years). It looks like a $3.00 fix or a $50 glazier. |
