Kwikee step bolt?

Step bolt holding step to frame vibrated loose and its gone. The hole, and partner bolt on other side of step look to be about 3/16 x 1.5 inch, but reading in the forums, it sounds like these may be metric, perhaps AN quality... does anyone know, or have an installation manual for the physical install?

Thanks,
Steve P

The step sags noticeably on the side missing the bolt if you put any weight on it.

@HarryStone - thank you! I will be hitting a hardware store or the orange big box this morning.

I crawled underneath and confirmed that 1 of the 4 nuts had backed off and fallen somewhere by the wayside. The bolt and washer were laying on the base, essentially a tray that mounts to the MH chassis. I bought appropriate replacements, and for a change, my skinny arms came in handy. The gap is only about 2" high and I had to get about 10" in from the frame to the bolt hole. Lots of self tapping screws were in the way. I should probably consider getting a tetanus shot for all the scratches!

But it's done, although I still plan a final tightening with a deep socket. The step is rock solid again.

Thanks for the help !!
Steve P

I had to go to a specialty fastener shop - Tacoma Screw. Amazing place.

They are called "shoulder bolts".

Easier at Home Depot in one of add'l those drawers in Hardware, 3/8"-16 threads x 1" or 1.25" in length. Grade 5. 2 washers, lock washer or knurled nut. May need a deep socket and skinny arms.
