How are Montana roads?
Leaving Big Timber heading up to Columbia Falls MT. Nav shows I90 then Montana state highways numbers 151-200 and 35. Any issues with any of those?
Then down to Polson on either the west side or east side of Flathead Lake. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I drove I90 from the Wyoming border to Missoula. It was clear.
I took 93 up all the way to West Glacier KOA on June 28th.
I’m still here until the 10th
I would not recommend the east side of the lake, it’s Full of construction
I drove right thru Kasipell and it wasn’t bad at about 5pm, I hit Glacier at 6pm
It’s about 3 hours up from 90.

Avoid Montana 200
It is early August 2021. Traveling westbound on Montana Highway 200. encountered a 20 mile stretch of road in what we believe was Macomb county that was every bit as bad as the worst Alaskan roads we encountered. There are some good sections to this highway. But we are very disappointed we chose this route. Most of the highway is very bumpy and the area is so desolate if you had a problem I donít know how anyone would get to you. I recommend avoiding this highway this year.

Iíve been to Glacier NP several times. The east side of the lake has character and beautiful views. However the road is slower than the west side of the lake.

Kalispell is no problem regardless of the time of day.

Drive west glacier (Kalispell) to East Glacier (cut bank) today.
No problems....

As 2Cyber71 stated, go 93 all the way up on the west side of Flathead lake.

Depending on the time of day, the east side can be iffy with elk crossing and a lot slower.

All times are GMT -6. The time now is 06:41 PM.
