Thanks everyone, I just did paperwork on a 2013 GMC 2500HD and will be taking a road trip to Raleigh NC Friday to pick it up (~8.5 hour drive). But it appears to be nice going thru the virtual review. This should be plenty of truck to pull the trailer. A friend of mine has the exact trailer as the one I ordered and pulls his with a Titan XD with no issues.

Keep in mind there's more to it than weight. You have to consider the frontal surface you will be pulling through the wind too. The same half ton truck that wouldn't pull my trailer comfortably at 65 mph would pull my flat bed trailer with my rock crawling Jeep on it (Jeep has no windshield, top, etc.) no problem, even though it was almost 1000 lbs heavier.

I just bought a 2013 GMC 2500 HD and picking it up on Friday. I like just about all trucks. Couldn't afford a new truck and a camper so I went with used truck and new camper.

Sounds good. Prices are up so high I put mine up for sale on Craigslist yesterday. Potential $20k+ profit. Right now I have it "too high" but I wanted to see what happened. I bought my truck just before the pandemic, and prices as you well know are up, up, up!

sold my 2015 nissan frontier PRo4x with 109k miles 6"lift etc. for 5000 more than I paid for it. so I think I did ok and moving to a GMC 2500 HD
