Hey Now having an issue with my awning Carefree Colorado retracting it starts to retact and then stops makes a noise i can extend after that but only retracts 6 " any advise would be welcomed :cool:

Does yours have a vertical track that awning slides up and down? If so there are little rubber wheels might need lubricating. Just a guess

Do you know the model of the awning.



I have a One-Touch Carefree of Colorado awning. I started having problems with mine not retracting. Turned out to be the connector on the side of the motorhome. It is a bayonet twist lock type with small contacts that would get corroded over time. I could disconnect and reconnect and it would solve the problem for a short while. I was going to replace but the part was obsolete when I called Colorado they said they no longer use and just direct wire the power feed. So I removed the connector, drilled out the guts and just used butt connectors to connect the the wires and then made a grommet type seal to put it all back together so it was water tight.

Works much better & faster, just have to make sure I lubricate the arms every once and a while and I'm good to go.
