2013 Ford Flex Limited

Hey folks, thinking of purchasing a Ford Flex. Has anyone had any issues with hauling these? Anything I should be aware of?

Oh, and has anyone done all the needed toad equipment themselves?

Etrailer seems to have everything I need.

Hello? Is this thing on? [emoji851]

Sorry no one has responded to your inquiry. I have a '13 Lincoln MKZ hybrid which is very similar to the Flex. I have flat towed it for over 40K miles with no problems. I had a Stealth braking system installed with a charge line and direct wired lights.

Good luck with your Flex!

Very few realize that a Ford Flex is towable, as is, 4down. At nearly 4800 lbs it's a bit heavy for gas coaches and most people don't need seating for 7. Those two things make it not very well suited for being a toad, but if it fits your needs, go for it.

We have been towing our 2018 Flex, 4 down, for 3 years without problem.
Just follow the baseplate manufacturers directions and the directions in the Ford owners manual.

It is heavy but was not a problem in our 500HP Travel supreme nor my current coach.

We use a Blue OX baseplate and tow bar, RVI3 brake and TPMS and wired in a set of brake light and turn signals with a kit from e trailer so the bus doesn’t connect to the flex electrical system.
