Ford E450 alternator with Lithium batteries

I recently swapped my lead acid battery pack (3 12 volts) for 3 12volt Battle born batteries. As far as I know the alternator is factory original (2006).

My questions are:

1) Should I add a second alternator dedicated to battery recharging? If so recommended brand/model and output size? How hard is this upgrade?

2) What are the chances of overloading/overheating the alternator at various engine RPMs when the battery bank is say at 60%?

Many thanks for input on either or both questions.

I believe you will want to put a DC to DC charger on the line leading to the lithium batteries.

There is a ton of info about these in the "Going Green" section.
