Dumb Question #10

Anyone know the brand name of the makers of the drains in a 19 Cornerstone kitchen sink? I have one where one strainer is coming apart: the stem apart from the top screw piece. Not sure how it is doing it but becoming impossible to tighten it securely.

Can you post a picture? Unless it's extra special, most kitchen strainers can be replaced easily from an off the shelf brand that is just as good. Again, if the stopper is different and only fits the drain fitting of that brand, there will be an issue.

Gary, You can always use the flat rubber universal stopper. It works..

The next time I am near a Home Depot or Lowes, I will look at what they have. However it is different than any of the strainer basket sink stoppers that I have ever had in any of my sticks and bricks.

It is a steel rod, with threads on top of the basket which has a head screwed on to the rod which you use to place the basket or remove it. Only the short steel rod goes down into the "permanent" bracket in the sink. When I figure it out, I'll publish the answer.

Maybe the question wasn't so dumb .... :D
