We are torn between 2 MH! We sold our beloved 06 Tradewinds, and now looking for either a 09 Tradition loaded with all the options, electrics shades and blind, 450D aquaqhot residential frige with 2 inverters and 8 batteries banks, set up for our needs with dinette booth and 2 coaches beds, heated floor, numbered king bed and stacked washer/dryers, air and hydro leveling, with full wall slide. This one also have 8 new tires, 8 new batteries, 2 new chassis batteries, and general great shape! Next, the Revolution 08, 4 slides floor plan(No FWS) which we are used to. revolution is also great condition besides a 4inc crack in the fiberglass right next to the driver side rear slide(room). Tires are 5 years old, batteries (4) 2 years old, need to install a dinette booth since we really want one. Also, Revo as propane water heater, 2 rpopane furnace and a RV style propane fridge. Revolution have a 8K watts gen as opposed to the 10K tradition's Genny, 700 hours on the tradition genny, 306 hours for the revo. The revo is 30k dollards less than the Tradition, but both outta of the doors (taxes) Tradition ended up being 50k more! Now we can afford both, but obviously, 50k less in our pocket with the Tradition! Is the price difference would justify all the amenties of the Tradition?? Revo have 122000KM while the Tradition have 41000KM. Both have very nice colors! Its a tough call, AND we are not full time Rvers! Its a weekend warrior only! Not talking about Rev being straight axle vs tradition IFS. Nor talking about the fact that the Tradition is HUGE inside!! Looking to keep it at least 3 years!

You are considering 2 coaches that were built in the heyday of FW & I don't think you could go wrong with either. Really, only you can decide which is right for you.

That said, I'd go with the Tradition hands down. It's definitely a step up from the Rev. I'll bet you've noticed the difference in quality with the Tradition. You already mentioned things you'll have to plunk money down for on that Rev. A chunk of your "savings" will be taken up with tires alone. The IFS will also make a big difference in steering.

The Tradition also has the lighter body paint, which will make it much easier to cool the inside on hot/humid days.

The last thing I'd consider is, unless you are well familiar with both coaches systems, get an independent inspection by a qualified/3rd party inspector, like one from NRVIA https://nrvia.org/. They are well worth it for these complicated machines.

If you buy the Revolution you are going to wish you had the Tradition every time you see one. In the end most end up trading up again which is costly. Go for it the first time. You will love the Aqua Hot and residential refrigerator!

I just realised tires needs to be replace now even if they are still "ok"! Btw all the maintenances has been done on the tradition and carry a 3 months warranty FWIW! I done the inspection myself on the tradition! Found like 15 issues! A long and throughout inspection , with inside out water damages and delamination! Underneath was also done by me, i did my courses, but its not my current business! dealer still have to fix few things, then next week going back to "close" the deal if we decide that way!

Would a 140k 08 revo would hold its value better than a 180K 09 tradition ??!!

Im sold on the Tradition. I loved my Revolution Pusher but that tradition is alot of coach

We have an all-electric ‘14 Revolution, similarly equipped to the Tradition you are considering.

After 5 years/40k miles, we would not be w/o an Aqua Hot or full-wall slide.

After 2013 Tradition and revolution are almost exactly the same!!

That's because by that time, REV had hold of them & had officially moved the Revolution to the American Coach line. Prior to that, the Revolution was under the Fleetwood line. For the years you are considering, there was a distinct difference in the production lines.

We vote for the Tradition, but we're biased...
 
We have an '07 Tradition 40J, and here in the first year of ownership its been great. We looked at several, and landed on this one, having been steered away from the Revolution in this forum based on questionable build quality. For Engine (pre-DEF Cummins 400), Drive train, and the Spartan Chassis, I can't say enough about how easy this rig was to learn and drive. For a 2007, its had the small things like an AC start capacitor go out, and outer slide out seals to replace, but otherwise, its a gem. We replaced batteries and tires day 1 of ownership, and now have 10,000 miles under our ownership and lots of great times. We also recently moved up to towing a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee from a 2012 Ford Fiesta and the coach never missed a beat. I will say we are chasing a hot/cold alternating shower issue with the 10 gallon Attwood water heater, so any ideas on that are appreciated. (no the shower handles are not on and cross mixing :).:)
