Looking for some help getting the ice maker going for the first time. I have a the Norcold double door ref, with water in the door and a ice maker. The water in the door works but cannot get the ice maker to produce ice. The arm is the down position.

Thanks Tom M

Is there water in the tray? Are you doing it with AC or Inverter power(we had factory wire our Ice Maker for either)?

The water tube may have air in it that will have to be expelled as your gas lines for first time for stove top and furnace.
Your ice maker has to be plugged in to the 110 outlet in back of refer also. Just take your time when new everything is exciting, enjoy and read and fill out those warranty cards. https://irv2.infopop.cc/images/luxhello.gif

I have power to the soleniod, I can see that there is water in the line that runs to the water dispenser in the door. The line that runs the ice maker has no water in it. What is the best way to purge the line?

Thanks Tom M MA4529

MA4529, you can put 120 volts across solenoid valve to make it open. If when open you still do not get any water to flow you could have a nozzle throught the back wall of freezer that is frozen solid and will have to be thawed with hair dryer before ice maker will make ice.

Thanks for the replies. I will try jumping the solenoid and see what happens.

Make sure that the water to that line is turned on.

There are shut off valves at the water filter under the sink on some models.

My ice maker will begin working after a day or two. (If it is on shore water and power). I think it is an issue with air in the line.

It will only put out one or two ice cubes a day https://irv2.infopop.cc/images/oboy.gif while dry camping!

Can be tough when you invite guests over for afternoon libations! https://irv2.infopop.cc/images/party.gif https://irv2.infopop.cc/images/frustrated.gif https://irv2.infopop.cc/images/laugh.gif

I havent' looked at it yet to try and diagnose the "problem", but the above (OPs) suggestions are where I would start.
