Remove Toilet

We are in the process of putting Allure vinyl planks in our motor home, I'm thinking of continueing the floor into the bathroom. How would we remove the toilet to run the floor under it? And reinstall it?? Any website out there for instructions? I've left the orginal flooring in there just in case the Allure doesn't work out. A lot of trimming in a tiny room!!!

Ours is removed and reinstalled just like a residential toilet. There are two studs (bolts) that come from the floor flange up through the toilet base. Remove the two nuts, turn off the water supply and disconnect and the toilet is free.

The studs could be hidden by decorative covers so they might not be too obvious or easy to find.

Be sure to replace the rubber gasket with a new one when you reinstall the toilet to insure a good seal.

I just finished installing Allure in our MH. I removed the water supply from the toilet, undid the 2 bolts and removed it. I used a new rubber gasket when I reinstalled the toilet.

A good job for the DW perhaps.

We installed Allure flooring in a previous MH. I removed the toilet and also the bathroom wall to floor screws and continued the flooring right under them. If your toilet is the standard economy model, it probably has one bolt behind the flush pedal and one in the rear that is reached by using a long 12" or longer extension and socket after removing a plug that is under the seat. I pushed down on the flush pedal and wedged a stake in the flapper valve to hold the pedal down to remove the nut from the front bolt. Not a hard job, but smelly if your tank has any goodies in it. I plugged the hole with a rag while doing the floor to eliminate as much odor as I could.
Hope this helps.
John
