Those are basically nails. I pulled the plastic off the head and put a driver on the head (should be hex) and the work their way out. Replace them with drill quick screws.

Check the valve that the blue hose is attached to in the lower right corner of the bay. It is the winterizing valve. If I remember correctly it should be in line with the line.
