Add a trik-L-start to the engine batteries.

If this were my Foretravel(and I do own one) I would go to a Detroit Diesel Allison dealer, have them hookup there computer to transmission and check for any stored codes, this will give you a look...

If you want good solid info on your engine, get the serial number and the cpl number,call Cummin's with that info, they can tell you what you have.

If I understand you have a mechanical C8.3 Cummins, therefore no computer so there will be no engine readings, the com port next to the steering column is most likely for your Allison, if you want...
