We have a 17 20 FQ and tow with a 2019 GMC 1/2 ton 6.2 l with max tow. We live in the Rocky Mountains and it tows fine. My friend has a 2018 Tundra and 21RD and likes the way it goes.

I had a 6 speed and went to a a 10 speed and the difference was very noticeable. No down shifting on the uphill and lower gears on the downhill make it a pleasure to drive.

I did this exact thing with my 20 FQ. Used a polarity reversal adapter with a 100 watt Renogy suitcase and it was plug and play; no problem. I did check the polarity first though.
