Sounds like you are in Florida. If handy to Sefner Lazydays has a driver school . It was very informative when I went to it. It was hands on on training and not that expensive.

The best I have had was 6 mpg that was with a 05 Santara grand on a Workhorse chassis with the big GM V8 and allison 5 speed.

I would hop they have upgraded their baseplates by now. The ones I used had new bolts for the lower control arm which made them much more stadel. This happened back in 2012.

I'm agree with you decision. Yes you get better fuel mileage with diesel and they may Handel a little better but you definitely pay for it in maintainance. Good luck and enjoy.
