Keep in mind two 6v = about 224AH Discharge only to 50% gives you 112 AH. that is what you will have to use. discharging deeper shortens the life of the battery.

If I had an extra pump in hand I would mount the second one and plumb with a monual bypass. If you ever have a failure just change the valves to use the backup.....But thats just how Id do it.
