Check the altitude adjustment. Mine was running rough and surging and finally stopping. Found the altitude adjustment set for 10,000 ft and I live in Florida! Turned it down and problems went away!

I had that happen on a commode in a previous RV. It turned out to be the cable to the flush mechanism was broken. The cable cost more than a new toilet so the toilet got replaced!
