Have you checked to see if all the baffles on the furnace body are closed/covered. If they are open the air is like running water, takes the easiest route which may not be the floor vents

put a bit of vegetable oil on top of the water and as it leaks down the seal will be lubed a quick fix that is clean and easy, good to do after brought out of storage as well
