My 16-year-old actuator started leaking while driving. I took it apart cleaned it well and replaced the 28mm x 38mm x 8mm Metric Rod Piston U Cup Seal and the o-ring, reassembled and all is working...

Most likely an axle gasket. I had them go bad at about 12yrs. If it just started and isn't worse by morning you should be fine.
