I've kept one of my old tires for a quick spare....

I've kept one of my old tires for a quick spare. I only replaced it due to age. This way I can replace the tire with what I want vs. whatever they can get on short order.

Not really... Like others have said, they are fairly soft. I personally, don't use the extra felt pads on the side. My old headgear would leave marks more often, but I always had that one snugged up...

Just take 10 through town... I've never done the bypass. Too much traffic & way out of the way to be worth it. Just time yourself hitting Houston during non rush-hour times... Takes about an hour-ish...

I'm glad you got it taken care of... That much weight is not too bad... it's more than desirable, but it is acceptable. My '08 2500 CCLB 4WD diesel PU has more than that on 2 of the factory rims......

All I know is that I got tired of the ST blowouts in the Southern summer heat and switched to Michelin XPS RIB LT tires. The 5W pulled better and the tires stayed cooler.
