If you use a butyl tape (find it MUCH cheaper at Lowes/Menards/Home Depot), you can heat the area with a torch before and after applying. Works fine. Just dont over do it :)

Propane cost more up North as it is really Propane.. Down South and in warm climates, they use Butane or a combination of Butane and Propane. Butane is cheaper..

I always travel with my rear roof vent cracked - it has a MAXX Air cover - as the dash air/heat seems to work better. Gets rid of stale air too.. Now I can add another reason to list.

Agree with tightening while the weight is on the wheels.. If you cannot, then put as much load on the wheels as you can before final tighten.

You can find '89 RVs with some water damage in the $1500-3000 range.. $6000 plus for an '89 would be with NO obvious water damage.
