Angry Heartland brand problems

I have a question and maybe someone can help. My wife and I last year purchased a 2019 Heartland North Trail Caliber edition 33 BKSS travel trailer. We have had multiple problems from day 1. We had one of the brakes get completely destroyed on our long journey home. Had to pay an RV auto shop $750 for all new parts and repairs, took in to a dealer because the tub leaked water into the kitchen, plumbing pipe under the island kitchen sink broke (repaired myself) The electric awning fabric had shrunk (we were told this) which was causing one arm not to fully retract, some cosmetic things inside (to be expected) and now a major problem is I found in the pass through storage had water in it and the floor in the bedroom is now soft along with some damage to the trim. This camper is only 1 year old. My question is has anyone had issues like this with their Heartland brand?

From what I read, all RV manufacturers produce junk in recent years. When I was looking a couple years ago, was advised to buy a several years old RV that someone else had gone through the initial problems.

We bought a Mallard M335 in June. We had Camping World add a 2nd A/C in the bedroom, a power jack, washer/dryer (came prepped) and Morryde steps.

First time we used the washer, it flooded. Basically, it had been badly installed, plus the walk-round didn't tell us that it drained outside via a separate drain (which was closed, hence the flood). Fortunately, we noticed it quickly and cleaned up. In the Florida summer, it dried out quickly before it had a chance to cause long-term damage.

We also had the same problem with the awning. They replaced it but it was still a problem. I 'adjusted' it maybe 1/2 an inch on the roller and it closed normally.

I think another problem is to make sure the arms are set the same when you roll it up. If one side is lower (for rain runoff), it won't roll up evenly.

We also had an issue with the fan over the range. It became very noisy. They supposedly fixed that when they did the awning. Was no different. I investigated and found the fan motor was loose and no way to fix it. I bought and fitted a new hood myself.

Another problem: the theater seating became 'lumpy'. The upholstery had bunched up. This was also looked at while it was in for the awning and a warranty claim submitted. While waiting for that to be resolved, the recliner quit on one side. That was a nut that had come off. Diagnosed and fixed by yours truly.

We got fed up of waiting for warranty and bought a new power reclining love seat off Wayfair. They delivered it to our campsite.

We put the original in storage (with our other household stuff) and when the replacement finally came in, took the old one to CW and swapped out for the new one. We plan to sell the replacement when we get a chance.

We have a Northtrail Caliber 29 RETS and for the most part has been excellent. As for the water in your bedroom, we had the same problem once. The outside shower hose had come loose. This connects to the water line in bathroom under sink. The water ran under cabinet into bedroom. Quick turn of nut solve issue. Hope this helps

You might want to join the Heartland owners club if you haven’t. They have an excellent forum.
