A friend who lives in Frenchtown MT , advised me not to use the 93 through Salmon ID , he drives through with his car but avoids it with his RV .( Truck & 5er.)

My experience is dated, been 20 years, but was good highway, no issues I recall for a DP w/tow.
Hopefully you will get a more timely report !

I've driven from Frenchtown to Whitefish to visit friends there ; no problems ; and those friends drove north from Whitefish to the Canadian , Fairmont Hot Springs , twice a year towing a 35' 5er, on the 93, through the Roosville border crossing.
The 93/95 north of Fort Steel is good; driven that may times ; from Radium Hot Springs the 93 towards Banff is a little slow, mostly due to traffic volume, but not really an issue, as far as a coach and toad are concerned .

The road to Banff is no problem for any rig. However where are you heading from there?
The southern interior of BC has many serious wildfires, the air quality is poor, there are road closures, evacuation alerts and the regions are asking tourists to stay away. Check www.drivebc.ca for road closures and https://governmentofbc.maps.arcgis.c...2ee385abe2a41b for wildfire information.
The 93 Icefields parkway North to Jasper is a beautiful drive and on through Northern BC is not a problem at the moment.

If you've made it to West Glacier without worries you'll do fine the rest of the way. Fairmont to Banff starts off a little worrisome but is way better after the first few miles. If there is room in the parking lot, take a dip at Radium Hot Springs. The Provincial camp grounds are very nice.
