New member from Ontario, Canada
Good day everyone, pleased to meet you. I'm the proud new owner of a 1999 Monaco Windsor 40', I live in Ontario, Canada.
Sadly, about 3 hours into my first outing with the new-to-me RV, the alternator gave out. I started the generator, jumped the house batteries to the chassis battery and was able to complete our trip that way. The alternator is very easy to get to, but sadly, I can't seem to be able to find a replacement one! I even called the company and they can't even help me out. Hopefully one of you will be able to, otherwise I'll have to have mine rebuilt.
Cheers, nice meeting you all!

Welcome to the forum.
I had several rebuilt over the years in trucks and heavy equipment, core exchange is a good option too. Most auto part stores or truck shops can point you to a reputable place in your area.

Sorry to hear about your problems with your alternator. I would try truck or RV salvage yards to see if they might have what you need.
Browse the forums and ask questions.
Let us know what we can do to help you further.

Welcome to iRV2.
You didn't mention your alternator brand and amperage , but if it happens to be a Leece Neville , some members have been replacing those with a Delco unit .
If yours can't be rebuilt perhaps a Delco is an option.

Welcome:
I just did a quick google search " auto alternator rebuilders near me "
It came up with about 10 companies in the Toronto - Barrie corridor. It was just a yellow pages type of list, but some did contain good reviews. None of them actually gave a website. Hopefully there are some in your area of the province.
