There hasn't been much activity on the Evergreen Element thread for awhile. I'm guessing you are either snowed in up in the frozen north or have already made the trek to the sunny south.
For those of us with first generation Elements, many, if not all of us, have been plagued by the crap material used for the seat cushions. This was supplied by a company in LaGrange, IN and the material has a tendency to shred after just light use. We've gone ahead and replaced most of that material with Sail Cloth which is a heavy duty canvas and have been pleased with our choice and the quality of the material.
We've also removed the crappy DiamondShield off the front of our Element. There was mold growing under the DiamondShield and the information we received when we purchased our Element (new in 2012) there was a “Limited: lifetime warranty. What does that mean....not much! DiamonShield offered to replace it at a discount and no, they wouldn't promise they wouldn't damage the fiberglass and if they did, it would be our responsibility to have it repaired. Having already dealt with the yahoo's they employ and costing us in excess of $700, my Bride and I decided to remove the DiamondShield ourselves. Since time was not critical, we were able to remove it without causing any damage to the fiberglass using a product by De-Solv-It called “Contractors; Solvent” which we bought on Amazon. We purchased a gallon but only used about a quart and a half.
We wanted to protect the front of our Element and opted to have it treated with a product called “Rock Guard” by our local RV repair shop and they did a magnificent job! Was it cheap....heck no, but far less than what was quoted by a shop outside of Dallas.
We'll be heading to Florida after Christmas and will be attending the Tampa RV SuperShow in mid-January. We stay on the fairgrounds (30-amp electric only) but it is very convenient to not have to put up with traffic and standing in line and paying for parking....and you can come and go as you please. We found that after 2 pm, the crowds have gone for the day..
Safe travels to all!

We did the same

I hear your pain on the seat covers. We also replaced all the covers and Cushions with a Marine grade Vinyl. What an upgrade. Some other upgrades we did this summer in between trips was adding an extra battery for dry camping and new Goodyear’s tires all the way around the trailer. Also had one small problem with the A/C drain getting clogged so I increased the size of the drain hole and have had no issues. We put close to 3500 miles on the Element this spring and summer an made it all over the eastern US visiting over 18 states with no problems. We truly love our Element and have not found any trailer that comes close to be good replacement for us. For a couples trailer it is easy to pull and the size is great for State parks and small camping sites. Pulling the trailer with my F-150 is a breeze and very easy to handle in bad weather. We sure hope we get more great years on the road.

Any second generation Element owners on this thread? I have a few sales brochures if you would like one.

Thinking of buying a 2012 26 SRK. Like the layout alot. How do these Evergreen's do as far as ground clearance? Has anyone weighted their Evergreen on the scales? Our Current Lance was only about a 100 pounds off what the specs said.

thanks
Mitch

As long as you stay on the road, you should be ok. I did scrape the spare tire carrier going down a steep driveway.
Never bothered to weigh ours...the sticker from the factory indicated 4900 pounds. Since the maximum towing capacity on our Ford Expedition is 9300 pounds, I think we’re good. Actual tongue weight when I had it weighed a few years ago was 485 pounds.

Just saw this thread. I don't have an Evergreen, but do have a 2011 Earthbound Golden Ridge which is its predecessor. With a few exceptions, it seems to be the best built and appointed trailer I have seen. My wife says that she can step into the trailer after being in storage 3 months and it smells fresh. I guess it is due to the composite construction with virtually no wood and also no carpet. Ours is 29'6" with a GVWR of 6500 pounds. We tow with a Jeep Grand Cherokee. It pulls like a dream.

GT924: We also looked at the Earthbound Dillon back in late 2011....yes, very similar to our Element as they were both designed by the same person. I even have the sales brochure left!
According to a letter I have, the Element was designed first although the Earthbound went into production first.

Light switch in propane tank?

In the 2012 Element 26 SRL where is the switch to turn on the light inside the propane tank compartment?

Same switch that activates the light in the pass thru, I think just the street side switch.

Gasket around slide-out?

Does anyone know where to get a replacement gasket/trim for the fixed opening of the kitchen slide-out on the 2012 Element 26SRL? It’s the one covering the aluminum channel with the screws in it on the exterior.

We are also looking for Evergreen Element owners. We just bought the 30FLS this summer, 2020. Having some trouble with the stabilizers and we also have no manual for our model. Anyone have access to a 2016 Evergreen Element 30FLS manual we could get a copy?
Loving this model but, as you say, there are some issues and we are pretty handy so would like to take care of things ourselves if possible before spending a fortune for a quick fix by someone else.
