Heartland north trail 28dbss no water from city water connection

My friends just bought this trailer and its the second time out. First time was boondocking, the water pump works great. This time we all have full hookups, but when hooked to the city water connection they don't get any water in the trailer. Only works with the pump on. I assume there is probably a valve somewhere but not sure. If anyone has some insight your help would be greatly appreciated

Several items come to mind:
1) Bad in-line water regulator that is restricting water flow via city water connection
2) City water connection inlet screened washer clogged
3) City water connection inlet 'check valve' jammed (inside the assembly)
4) Water filter on city water supply clogged

Trailer uses a 'gravity fill port' then no valving to change.....city water connection 'T's into same cold water line pump discharge goes to...then feeds the RV plumbing system

If he has the Anderson valve make sure it is set to "city". Our Road Warrior produced by Heartland uses the Anderson valve.
But to turn the valve first turn the water pressure off the line. These Anderson valves have been known to fail, especially if the internal parts are plastic and not the new brass parts. It will make the valve easier to turn also if the water is turned off.

I agree with old-biscuit. You have something plugged. The easiest to check is the screen at the city water connection. Could be crudded over. I know you have already checked that water is coming out of the hose but I would pull the regulator and filter first to be sure the water is getting to the city water connection on the rig. After that it is follow the lines and find any check valves. It is probably something simple to fix.
