2019 Entegra Odyssey 29V Single tread power step issues

2019 Entegra Odyssey 29V

Recently had problems with slide out step, didn't retract fully and was hanging out about 3 inches. Hit a boulder and bent the entire frame of the step, and ultimately after powering it in the 'out' position, it wouldn't retract. Removed the pin from the slide out step motor linkage, and manually retracted the step and strapped it so it wouldn't come out during travel. Now trying to figure out the repair, so a question as I begin to troubleshoot:
Was thinking because it was bent, perhaps it had some friction when trying to close and blew a fuse? Does anyone know if there is a fuse that's tied to the power step?
Currently on the road with limited tools, so trying to figure this out step by step (no pun intended). If it's a fuse or motor issue, I can handle that, and I believe the metal outside frame of the power step could be banged out to it's original configuration (slightly bent) once I get home. I'm leery of bringing it to the RV service center just on replacement/service costs, so open to any/all recommendations...thank you!

Depending on how mangled it is, you're probably better off replacing it. You'll have to look in your owners manuals for fuse locations or call Entegra

Think you're right...

Thanks, Massparanoia - I think the step is a goner. I can still use it manually until I get back home in November....no big deal. The only problem with the Owner's Manual for my rig is that it looks like it was produced as a junior high school writing project, with no offense to the kids. I'll get to the bottom, posted a question in the Entegra's Owner's Group and still waiting for Entegra Support's response. Gracias.
