New full time solo RVer
Hi Everyone, about a week ago I went full time as a solo RVer in a TT that I just purchased. I am looking forward to many new experiences. Always welcome advice and information to make life in a TT more enjoyable. Thanks to all the forums on IRV2 as it has helped me greatly

Welcome! I'm also a fellow solo full timer. I lost my husband to cancer in November 2020 and have been "on the road" since. I'd much rather be solo in my motorhome visiting lots of different places and meeting lots of different people than stuck in a house with the same neighbors all the time and same scenery. All the best to you and Merry Christmas. Lynn

Do you plan to stay in one place, probably an RV park, and work in the area, or move around.
If moving around, will you stay at FHU RV parks, partial hookup (electric only typically) state parks, dry camping in state, COE, USFS, NPs with no hookups, or boondocking on public lands with nothing?
It makes a big difference as to how you manage the TTs electrical system and to a lesser degree water and waste.

Solo RVing
Thanks to everyone for the great questions and advice you provided me.On some of the questions, Yes I plan on doing more traveling than staying in one location. Boondocking, dry camping, state and federal parks and of course camp grounds as well. My first big trip will be from Tallahassee, Fl to Arizona to take part in the Escapees boot camp there Feb 4-6 and do some exploring of the area.
I am hoping to meet many other RVer especially solo rvers and maybe dome state parks in Utah.
Lynn I am sorry to hear you lost your husband, I know it makes for some lonely travels, Please make the best of it and looking to maybe someday we can meet

Hello Solos,
I recently, three months ago, started full time Solo RVing with my two four legged “Kids”. I retired a couple of years ago after losing my wife of 30 years. This is the beginning of a new chapter in my life. I drove South to Texas in my 18 Silverado 2500 WT pulling my 28’ TT to get away from the cold weather in Indiana. I grew up in south Texas where my son and granddaughters live and where I’m headed to visit. I’ve been sending pictures to my former coworkers of me in shorts when it was below freezing in Indy. I plan on heading west to visit family after some time with the Son and Grandkids. My trailer is 10 + years old so I’m doing some minor repairs and upgrades. It’s great to no longer have homeowner issues and COLD weather to deal with. I’m at an Escapees RV park enjoying the great winter weather in southeast Texas. I look forward to meeting new people “on the road”.
Maybe our paths will cross.
Be safe!!
