TT it is!

Thank you to all who have provided advice from your personal experiences. That makes it easier for me to determine the best path forward. Many times, it just takes listening to the experience of others to see things from a different perspective.

It sounds like using my current TT is the best option for me at this time.
I'll give it a go a few times solo and see how it works out. I can always revisit the TC option at a later time.

Thanks!

My first camper was a Jayco slide in pop up that fit perfectly in my '68 Dodge 3/4 ton 4x4 with the tailgate up. No bathroom/shwr. Just 20gal water and a wet sink and 3 burner stove and a pretty good heater. Perfect for pulling my 12ft aluminum boat with a 15hp outboard. I could park on lake shore and hand launch the boat and did at VERY remote places. For years I never felt so free. It came off easiy. I could have it on the jacks in about 1/2 hour by my self and use the truck if I needed anything from town. All season hunting/fishing rig. I'd love to have that feeling of freedom again! Get the TC keep and keep it light and minimalistic. A feller needs both!!!

If you have the storage space I say buy a nice used truck camper and keep the TT. I had a very clean 8’ truck camper for 4 years and used it for hunting and fishing. We had a nice TT at the same time. When the wife was still working I’d back under the TC grab the dog and head out for a couple days. I really enjoyed it. I’ve always had 3/4 or one ton Cummins diesel so having enough truck wasnt an issue. I’d stay away from the heavier rigs, get a smaller, lighter TC and head out.
