Dryer Heating Element

Because it uses only 110 volts instead of 220 volts, I realize that the Splendide washer/dryer unit takes a while to dry the clothes.

Other than the drying time, my Splendide combo unit works great.

How long should it normally take to dry 2 pairs of blue jeans?

How would you determine whether the heating element was bad or not?

Is it possible to replace the heating element, or is it a non-repairable part?

I would have ask how old the unit is, is it vented , and how often the dry cycle is used ?

Reason being , my 6 year old , vented combo unit , plugged the flex connector between the drum and the back of the unit, with lint.

If you can go to the W/D in mid dry cycle and the door is hot to the touch , I would say the element is ok and it would be a good idea to check the units venting .
DW said the clothes were wetter after the dry cycle than before.
Cleaning the venting is now on my 2 year maintenance list.

I have no idea as to how old the combo is. The place that I bought my MH from put this one in, because the unit that WAS in here did not work when we purchased it.

The dryer door doesn't get hot, just warm.

The quick answer is yes. As to price and user-accessibility, I have no idea.

You might try iRV2s RV systems and appliance forum, or contact Splendide directly.

After a few minutes of attempting to dry clothes, I get this series of lights flashing. I've looked at the manual, but haven't found any help there.

If so, you have low airflow. Try this.
Cleaning Instructions for Splendide 2100XC and 7100XC Washer/ Dryer
OVERVIEW: The water must be filled up to the LINE ON THE GLASS, where it changes shape appx.1/3 up.
This is so proper cleaning can be done.
1. Without clothes in the unit and with the dry time off, place the cycle selector on #11 and push start. When the water stops entering the unit and if the water is not up to the LINE ON THE GLASS, hold the start button in until the unit stops (Reset), then push start. Repeat this process until the water in the unit is at the correct level. THE LINE ACROSS THE GLASS.

2 When the water level is correct, hold the start button in until the unit stops (Resets), move cycle selector knob to #12 and push start. Allow unit to complete THE WASH CYCLE ONLY. Once the water has drained go to step 3.

3 Repeat this procedure 2 more times.

4 Unit should be cleaned once a month using this procedure. In addition, using an extra rinse cycle on every load also helps with lint removal. Optional additives is A-FRESH or Vinegar.

I should add that I am having this same issue. I cleaned the unit as described and it helped, but not fully. Splendide also suggested using a water hose and blast a few shots of water into the exhaust. Did that also and it helped a bit. I am going to pull the unit tomorrow or Sunday and vacuum out the exhaust as I think it is clogged.

Update. After having the same issue as the OP and trying the clean cycle many times, my airflow was still poor and I was getting the flashing lights. Pulled the unit and used a coat hanger to fish out about a tennis ball size wad of lint in the dryer vent exhaust. All good now.

I will be running the clean cycle once per month from now on.
