Anyone have any trouble finding the pre-wired trailer brake plug under the dash (behind the foot rest) on their Journey? I have a diagram and photo from Winnebago of where the plug should be, but do not find it there. Wondering if anyone else has had this problem, and if so, where they ended up finding the plug.
Thanks,
Alan

Okay, looks like either nobody else had this trouble, or if they did, they took it to a dealer to have it installed. Anyway, I found the plug. It was no where near where it was supposed to be. Below is a photo sent to me by Winnebago showing the wire drop being located behind the footrest to the left of the steering column.

Here is a photo of that same location on my Journey, no wire drop.

After reading some posts on a Good Sam forum regarding Freightliner trailer brake wire drops, I decided to look where the Fleetwood owners had found theirs, behind the instrument panel. It still was not obvious and took much searching, but I found it. Here are photos of where it was.

Here is a close up of the plug.

To anyone else who may have this situation, I hope this helps.
Alan

Sounds like a Saturday afternoon where not many of our Winnebago Owner's are inside at their computers Alan.....give 'em some time and I'm sure they'll be here to answer.
Not sure about those addresses for your images.....Images must be viewable online somewhere before they'll "work" on iRV2. I've not tried your image addresses for validity, but of you're looking for somewhere to upload them to the web, we have our own photo gallery here and it's free!
Requires a separate registration, but most folks use the same as they use for the forums...

For what it's worth when I bought my coach new it already had a Tekonsha Prodigy installed (a party before us had put money down and had some after market options added but then backed out of the deal). I took a look and it appears the dealer installed a completely separate wiring harness. Either they themselves didn't know the location of the factory wiring or believed running the harness was easier than taking the dash apart.
