I have a 2006 HR Admiral, but this probably applies to other Monaco products as well.
Two AC/heat pumps and one furnace are controlled by a single Duo-therm control, located on the curbside wall, just behind the passenger seat. This is an inconvenient place as one must reach across the lounge chair to reach the control. When the sofa bed is out one must climb over the bed to get to the control!

I decided to move the thermostat to an interior wall in the bedroom. This was really quite easy. Rather than take up space here, let me know if you are interested in how I did it and I can send you an email.
No more stumbling through the coach at night and climbing over the grandkids on the sofa bed to adjust the temp.

Great idea, bandcworkhorse. I've come to the conclusion that stuff like this is done on purpose by the factory so we can 'personalize' our coaches to our taste.

My controller was mounted in the hallway, right at 6ft up the wall! I kept hitting the wrong buttons every time I'd run and jumped as high as I could to see the display and change the settings

, so I lowered it to eye-level.

My 2001 HR Admiral has two roof AC units each controlled by separate thermostats which I upgraded to the digital Hunter units from Wal-Mart. I also relocated the rear t-stat to a closet wall (an 'inside' wall) as it was mounted on the exterior facing wall and running more than necessary from the radiant sun.
My front t-stat is mounted on an interior type wall in the hallway.

I can't help you with the relocation of Tstat... BUT I can welcome you to IRV2!!

May I also suggest that if you have a Monaco RV that you also request to become a member of the Monaco Owners Forum... I have been reassured that the "Magic Wand" has been recharged with new "Pixie Dust"!

We are a pretty darned friendly group of folks that have Monaco RVs'in common and also have lots of fun here!
