The time has arrived to separate from my wonderful Outlaw. I wanted a rig with a larger garage so I could haul more than one of my toys, and made a purchase. This is the nicest, cleanest and best-maintained original class A toyhauler out there. I have owned and used this adventuremobile for 10 years, and it has been garage-kept for 7 of those. I have this coach set up for boondocking or glamping in a resort. This rig has taken me from coast to coast, beach to mountains to desert with zero mechanical problems. This motorhome looks much newer than 2008, and gets complimented almost every time I take it out. You can view more photos in my RVT ad # 11180807.
This coach has the 8.1 Chevy Vortec engine mated to a 6 speed Allison transmission, all riding on the up-charged Workhorse 24K chassis. Be aware when comparing this beast to the base model 22K Ford chassis that some Outlaws of this era ride on, which has an inferior engine, transmission and load capacity. All tires are Toyo, with two dated late 2019, three dated late 2020 and one from 2022. This coach has 2 rooftop A/C's, a 5,000 lb hitch and a single slide. I have added too many upgrades to name, but here are a few:
-updated flooring and carpet -re-upholstered captain's chairs -re-upholstered dinette cushions -remodeled bathroom -upsized tv in salon and garage -electric fireplace in salon -remove-able cocktail table for placement between captain's chairs -painted or replaced the failing exterior graphics -all cabinetry hardware updated -rear ramp water-proofed and modified for use as a deck -new memory foam sofa sleeper -new Euro recliner -brand new Dometic 12v refrigerator -escape hatch in bedroom loft, providing easy access to the roof -rear trac bar -front steering stabilizer -upgraded Bilstein shocks -new chassis battery -LED light fixtures throughout interior -LED high beams for headlights
-Up-graded wiper motor
-Custom electric MCD windshield shade and screen
-Cusom manualMCD front side window shades
-2000 Watt whole-house pure sine inverter
-Custom hinged interior stairwell cover
-Bauer keypad electronic entry door lock -entire exterior waxed and roof cleaned and UV sealed this spring -under-carriage exterior stinky slinky storage (much better that it sounds!) -I just had the brake fluid changed (every 2 years), and the tech stated the brakes are in great shape -I have replaced the rear vertical trim tail-light pillars and they are perfect. I don't believe you will find another Outlaw of this vintage without those components displaying multiple horizontal cracks
All this, and I haven't even mentioned the on-board garage. It is 10' 2" long. I have hauled quads, bicycles, dirtbikes, a SxS, a Smart car and 3- wheeled street motorcycles in there. Also great for moving furniture and major appliances. When camped the garage becomes a spare room and the deck is awesome. Whether you have toys to bring along or not, this type of RV setup can't be beat.
